Ancient Spirit -- Ragani

Since the release of her first album BEST OF BOTH WORLDS, kirtan chanter Ragani has continued to grow in stature. Her monthly singing events, dubbed "Kirtan with Ragani," have become the largest ongoing kirtan event in the nation; attracting people due to their spiritual energy and welcoming atmosphere. Those qualities are effectively channeled into her latest album, the exquisite ANCIENT SPIRIT, which features over an hour of call and response mantras. Besides the smooth waves of chant brought forth by the gentle voiced Ragani, the release features the tabla playing of Girish, as well as an invigorating cocktail of rhythm that includes flute, harmonium and guitar.
