Red Wisdom Rooibos Tea

Rooibos (pronounced roy-boss) is a red tea indigenous to South Africa. Research has found Rooibos provides numerous health benefits including relief from insomnia, stomach cramps and constipation, as well as allergic symptoms such as hay fever and asthma. Rooibos is an herbal tea recommended for individuals suffering from nervous tension, mild depression or hypertension.

Scientists note Rooibos contains a mimic of the enzyme SOD (superoxide dismutase), an antioxidant that scavenges for free radicals, thus limiting their damaging effect. Rooibos is also very rich in flavonoids that are powerful antioxidants with more antioxidant activity than Vitamin C. Rooibos is also a great addition to infant feeding to supplement the daily intake of calcium, manganese and naturally occuring flouring needed by growing children for strong teeth and bones.

When applied directly to areas of the body, it can ease itching or irritated skin, like eczema or acne.
